Statement of Faith
Our Church is “the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15). We believe the sixty six books of the Bible are revelation from God, inerrant, sufficient, and the final authority for our faith and practice.
Our church is “God’s holy temple” and “God’s spiritual house.” We worship only the Triune God.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

Our church is “God’s flock.” We believe that man is made in the image of God, but corrupted by sin, and fallen into curse. We believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Only through confession, repentance, and believing in Jesus would man be saved and receive eternal life.
Our church is the “body of Christ.” We believe that Christ is the head of the church. The church is God’s family and consists of all born-again believers.
Our church is a “kingdom of priests.” We believe our mission is to bear witness for our Lord Jesus Christ, and to spread the gospel to all nations.
Membership
Qualifications for Membership to Maryland Gospel Church: Any baptized Christian who accepts and agrees with this Statement of Faith.
